Pakistan’s national hockey team has embarked on a journey to India to compete in the upcoming Asian Hockey Champions Trophy, set to be held in Chennai from August 3 to 12.
The team, consisting of 18 members, crossed the Wagah Border and arrived in the neighboring Indian city of Amritsar on Tuesday morning. From there, they will board a flight to Chennai via Bangalore, where the tournament will take place.
The Asian Hockey Champions Trophy will see teams from Pakistan, India, Malaysia, Japan, and China battling it out in the same pool. This prestigious tournament serves as the final chance for teams to assess their players’ skills and identify any weaknesses before the much-anticipated Asian Games 2023 in China.
