Gold Climb to Rs.506,062 Per Tola in Pakistan Amid Global Uncertainity

Gold and silver prices climbed again on Saturday in both international and local markets, reversing Friday’s decline and continuing a broader upward trend seen over the past week.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, global gold prices increased by $45 per ounce to reach $4,837. In Pakistan’s local market, gold per tola surged by Rs4,500 to Rs506,062, while the rate for 10 grams rose by Rs3,858 to Rs433,866.

Silver prices also followed an upward trajectory. The per tola rate increased by Rs. 118 to Rs. 8,562, while the price for 10 grams rose by Rs. 101 to Rs. 7,340.

A day earlier, however, gold prices had declined in Pakistan despite gains in the international market. On Friday, gold per tola dropped by Rs. 3,300 to Rs. 501,562, and the price of 10 grams fell by Rs. 2,829 to Rs. 430,008, reflecting volatility in domestic rates. Silver also recorded a decrease of Rs. 70 per tola, settling at Rs. 8,444.

The fluctuations came amid mixed global signals. Internationally, gold continued to gain strength, supported by a weaker U.S. dollar and easing geopolitical concerns following indications of a potential deal involving Iran. During early U.S. trading, spot gold increased by 1.5% to reach $4,860.39 per ounce, registering a weekly gain of over 2%, while U.S. gold futures advanced 1.6% to $4,883.20 per ounce, according to Reuters.
