Imad Wasim’s ex-wife Sannia Ashfaq says ‘third party’ ended her marriage
Sannia Ashfaq, the former wife of Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim, has claimed that third-party involvement ultimately led to the breakdown of her marriage, alleging emotional distress and abandonment during a vulnerable period.
Responding to a recent statement by Imad Wasim, Sannia Ashfaq shared a detailed message on Instagram, stating that interference from someone intending to marry her husband became the final blow to an already strained relationship.
“I am writing this from a place of deep pain. My home has been broken, and my children have been left without their father,” she wrote, adding that she is a mother of three, including a five-month-old infant who has yet to be held by his father.
Sannia said that while the marriage had faced challenges like many others, she remained committed as a wife and mother and made consistent efforts to keep the family intact. “What ultimately ended this marriage was the involvement of a third party, whose intention was to marry my husband,” she said.
She further alleged that following the breakdown of the relationship, she endured emotional torment, mistreatment and abandonment while pregnant, choosing patience for the sake of her children and the dignity of her home.
Addressing the legal aspect, Sannia stated that the divorce process remains disputed and is still under legal scrutiny. She added that the truth would emerge through proper legal channels and warned against attempts to silence or intimidate her.
“To those who attempt to threaten me, know that injustice does not go unanswered,” she said, citing verses from the Holy Quran to reinforce her message.
Sannia Ashfaq also emphasised that documented evidence exists regarding those involved in the matter but claimed she was being pressured not to make it public. She warned that any individual attempting to threaten her would face legal action.
“I speak today not out of vengeance, but out of truth — for myself, for my children, and for every woman who was told to endure in silence,” she concluded.
