YouTuber Rajab Butt deported from UK

YouTuber Rajab Butt has been deported from the United Kingdom after his visa was revoked during an investigation that uncovered undeclared pending cases against him, according to sources who confirmed the development on Tuesday. Butt left for Pakistan early in the morning on a flight arranged following the expulsion orders, bringing an abrupt end to his stay in Britain, where his visa had originally been valid until 2027.

Sources said the UK Home Office cancelled Rajab Butt visa after discovering that he had not disclosed active cases at the time of his application, a violation that prompted the authorities to order his immediate departure. The scrutiny followed an inquiry initiated several days ago when Britain’s MI-16 detained Butt along with fellow YouTuber Nadeem Naniwala after receiving anonymous complaints alleging that they were linked to terrorism-related activities.

During the investigation, both men were cleared of any terrorism involvement, officials said. However, Naniwala, who holds British nationality, was released, while Butt’s documents were sent to the Home Office for further verification. It was during this process that officials discovered the pending cases that had allegedly already been communicated to UK authorities by Pakistani institutions.

Following the findings, the British government issued a formal notice instructing Butt to leave the country without delay. A source close to Butt confirmed his deportation, while Naniwala also verified the development, adding that he was travelling back to Pakistan with him. The UK authorities stated that the deportation was carried out strictly in line with immigration regulations governing visa violations.

The incident marks another high-profile case involving online personalities facing scrutiny from British authorities, with officials reiterating that any breach of visa conditions — including nondisclosure of legal matters — leads to immediate action under UK immigration law.
