IPL Cricketer Yash Dayal Faces Second Sexual Assault Allegation in Jaipur

The legal troubles for Indian Premier League (IPL) cricketer Yash Dayal are mounting as a second First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against him, this time in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The new complaint accuses the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fast bowler of repeated sexual assault on a minor girl, with alleged incidents dating back to 2023 and continuing into April of this year.

This development comes just weeks after Dayal was named in a separate rape complaint in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, where a woman accused him of “exploiting” her. The cricketer, currently associated with the RCB franchise, is now facing intense scrutiny as the latest allegations unfold.

Details of the Jaipur Allegations

According to Sanganer Sadar SHO Anil Kumar Jaiman, the FIR in Jaipur has been registered under Section 64 of the new penal code, which carries a minimum sentence of 10 years, along with relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act.

The complainant alleges that Dayal first assaulted her in 2023 when she was 17 years old. The complaint, as reported by the Times of India, states that the cricketer allegedly “raped her on multiple occasions after offering to help build her cricket career.” More recently, it is claimed that Dayal re-established contact with the survivor in April 2025 while he was in Jaipur for IPL duties, reportedly calling her to his hotel where the alleged assault occurred again.

Police officials have confirmed that the case was registered promptly after the survivor came forward to report the alleged multiple instances of sexual assault spanning from 2023 to 2025.

Previous Allegations and Legal Standing

The current FIR in Jaipur follows the complaint filed against Dayal in Ghaziabad. In that case, the Allahabad High Court provided a temporary reprieve, restraining police from arresting Dayal. A ruling issued on July 15 stipulated that “no coercive action should be taken against him till the next hearing” in the Ghaziabad matter.

As these serious allegations continue to emerge, the focus remains on the ongoing investigations and the legal proceedings that lie ahead for the IPL cricketer. The cricket world, and the public, will be closely watching for further developments in both cases.
