11 month old baby becomes youngest Hajj pilgrim in this year

An 11-month-old baby has made history by becoming the youngest Hajj pilgrim this year. The Saudi Arabian General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) recently announced that the total number of pilgrims for this year reached a staggering 1,845,045. Out of this number, 1,660,915 were external pilgrims arriving from various ports, while 184,130 were internal pilgrims consisting of citizens and residents.

GASTAT’s statistical report for Hajj 2023 revealed that among the total number of internal and external pilgrims, there were 969,694 male pilgrims and 875,351 female pilgrims. These numbers demonstrate the diverse and inclusive nature of the Hajj pilgrimage, with people from all walks of life coming together to fulfill their religious duties.

Although the Saudi newspaper that reported this incredible story did not disclose the nationality of the 11-month-old child, a video capturing the baby’s journey has gone viral on social media.
