LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and Federal Minister Javed Latif said that the facilitators were making efforts to bring Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khana gain back to power.
The PML-N leader also expressed surprise over developments like talks with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and rising demands for implementation of the law and the Constitution.
“Why no suo motu is being taken on the audio leaks these days?,” asked the PML-N leader while addressing a press conference in Lahore on Monday.
The minister rejected the talks with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) saying that those who used to send petrol bombs on the law enforces did not deserve talks. He said that the people who were used to say ‘Mir Sadiq” and “Mir Jaffar” also did not deserve talks.
He said, “Such terrorist group does not deserve talks. If the talks are held with this group then you will compromise the national security. If you cannot bring these criminals to dock so that the unrest and polarization could be controlled,”.
“Nobody should dictate us that we are running away from the elections. We never ran away from the elections when they were even deprived of elections,” said Javed Latif.
The minister asked that who was exerting pressure to hold talks with this group.
He claimed that conspiracy was done against Nawaz Sharif and subsequently he was routed out from the power. The nation, he said, believed that Nawaz Sharif was their well-wisher.
Javed Latif said that many major developments were done during the tenure of Nawaz Sharif as CPEC was introduced that time and the peace was also restored in the country.
He said that there were many people who were demanding implementation of the law and the Constitution but the reality was different.
He raised a question that why no demands for law and the Constitution were made when the mandate was stolen in 2018 and conspiracies were done in 2015. He said had they all stood united against the conspiracies in 2017 the situation now would have different.
“What is reality? Tell the people. Who is behind all this? ,” said Javed Latif, adding that the efforts were being made to bring Imran Khan again back to power. Imran Khan, he said, confessed his crimes but despite all that he was not being exposed.
The PML-N leader said that the big powers thought Nawaz Sharif as threat and Imran Khan as their supportive. He said that the truth must be told to the nation because the country could not bear more destruction.
