Three men from Cumbria, England have been arrested for making online posts that allegedly encouraged violence and public disorder. The men, ages 41, 40, and 31, are suspected of using the internet to incite religious hatred and violence.
According to Cumbria Police, a 41-year-old man from Carlisle is accused of posting content that encouraged violence against police officers and promoted disorder. A 40-year-old man, also from Carlisle, and a 31-year-old man from Maryport were arrested for allegedly sharing “hate-related content” online.
The three men were taken into police custody for public order offenses. Their arrests come after a period of violent unrest across the UK, which began following the tragic killing of three children in Southport.

Ch Supt Carl Patrick of Cumbria Police stated, “When we find evidence of individuals inciting hatred or promoting violence, our officers will take decisive action. We remain committed to ensuring public safety, and those involved in criminal activities can expect a firm response.”
