Rana Sanaullah Warns PTI Founder Sons of Arrest if They Join Protest

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, has warned that the PTI founder’s sons will be arrested if they come to Pakistan and participate in the upcoming anti-government protest.

“If they come and take part in the party’s political movement, they will face arrest,” Rana Sanaullah said while talking exclusively during a television interview. He remarked that the PTI founder’s sons hold British citizenship and are unfamiliar with the political realities of Pakistan. “What’s the purpose of bringing them here except to make their lives difficult?” he asked.

The senior PML-N leader criticised the PTI’s protest strategy, claiming, “No one can trust that their demonstrations will remain peaceful given their history of violent protests, attacks on state institutions and arson.” He stated that the real motive behind such rallies is “incitement and vandalism, not democratic protest.”

He added, “Such activities will not be allowed under the guise of a political movement.”

Rana Sanaullah underlined that peaceful rallies are the essence of democracy, but stressed that the PTI has never shown a genuine democratic spirit. “Dialogue can only happen when they demonstrate democratic behaviour. So far, they have not,” he said.

Reiterating the government’s stance, he stated, “This country of 250 million people cannot be held hostage by just 10,000 to 15,000 people.”

Confirming that the PTI aims to intensify its movement on August 5, he warned that the state would respond strictly according to the law. “Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has always stressed that political issues should be resolved through dialogue, but we will not allow anyone to break the law in the name of protest,” he concluded.

Stay tuned on MEGANEWS.TV for updates as the party’s detailed protest plan is expected to be announced soon.
