LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz’s new video of making fruit chaat goes viral on the internet.
Taking to Twitter, the PML-N senior leader shared her video which went viral in no time. She shared the post with a caption, “Iftar preps and what iftar without fruit chat! Sirf siyasat nahi kerte.”
In her address to a lawyers’ convention in Rawalpindi on Wednesday, Maryam Nawaz expressed her dissatisfaction with Chief Justice of Pakistan’s taunts directed towards parliamentarians when they were discussing the law and the Constitution. She asked if the CJP knew how prideful it was to go to jail for an ideology.
The PML-N leader’s comments were made in response to CJP’s remarks about certain lawmakers in the National Assembly who had served jail terms and were declared traitors in the past. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also criticized the CJP’s comments, stating that it was his constitutional right to express his views in parliament. Maryam said that the CJP should have gotten emotional when she spent five months in Adiala Jail and five months in NAB’s custody.
Maryam accused Khan’s wife of directing the PTI’s social media team leader to link everyone to treason when former premier Nawaz Sharif staged the “cypher drama”. She added that PML-N leaders had served unjust sentences and appeared before the courts, indicating their clean hands.
The PML-N leader questioned the unequal treatment of public office holders, referring to herself and Justice Isa’s wife Sarina Isa. She slammed Khan for not declaring Tyrian White as his daughter and asked why he couldn’t be disqualified over such a significant lie when a prime minister could be disqualified over an Iqama.
