Imran Khan Foresees 80% Chances of Arrest Tomorrow

The chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former prime minister Imran Khan worries that when he appears in court on Tuesday to request bail in many cases, Islamabad police may arrest him, according to a private TV channel.

The former prime minister claimed during a CNN interview that PDM was supporting the army and “dismantling the democratic system to keep me out.” He claimed that approximately 10,000 employees had been detained as of right now, and his party’s entire senior leadership was incarcerated.

“The way they have used the pretext of they have used that reaction after my arrest to dismantle the party,” Mr. Khan stated about rioting and arson assaults on government buildings and military posts on May 9.

The PTI head allegedly stated that hundreds of women and children had been imprisoned: “They are now trying to try us in military courts.”

The former premier questioned how someone could win by “taking on your army” given that he had already indicated that he had no breath with the establishment and did not see why the other side was angry with him. “In such a situation, even if you win, the country loses,” Mr. Khan said, highlighting the necessity of a robust military.I firmly believe that Pakistan needs a robust defense apparatus.

The former prime minister noted that he had collaborated with the former army head Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa before “he switched horses,” and that he had no issue with the army “knowing they have been entrenched.”

According to him, the opposition alliance intended to “bump him off” because it was worried about losing the election. The PTI leader declared that he was still in danger of being killed and claimed that he had foreseen that a religious fanatic would be employed to murder him in the same way that a former governor of Punjab had been.

In response to a query, he stated that Pakistan is experiencing an “unpredictable time” and expressed concern that the coalition government would decide not to hold the national elections later this year in October.

“At this point, my concern is that the national elections won’t be held, not even in October. I worry that after PTI won’t win, they would still hold the polls.

According to Mr. Khan, the circumstance had gotten so bad that even the decisions of judges and courts were being discarded.

Interactive session

According to the PTI chairman, a Punjab government delegation visited him on Sunday and offered him eight names of those they claimed were sought. He said, “Everyone in the PTI is wanted right now.

“The authorities have informed me that they would be conducting a search operation at my home, but I have refused to participate. They may enter with permission granted by the Lahore High Court, he insisted.

He said that the LHC had mandated the creation of a two-person government team, made up of a female police officer and a PTI member, to assist in the search effort.

Mr. Khan reportedly demanded proof of his party’s involvement in the violence on May 9 and said that if PTI employees were discovered to have been involved, he would aid [police] in apprehending them. The administration is preparing strategies to pit the army against the PTI and me.

“Crackdown illegal”

The PTI and Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Pakistan (JUI-P) urged that the ongoing “illegal crackdown” on PTI employees end and that top party member, notably women workers and leaders, be released.

The demand was put forth when Imran Khan and a 12-member JUI-P delegation, led by Maulana Khan Mohammad Sherani, met on Saturday at Imran Khan’s Zaman Park mansion in Lahore.

The two parties claimed that the state apparatus was stoking internal strife that would undermine Pakistan’s economy as well as destabilize the country. They said that the government needs to stop abusing its power to intimidate people into quitting their calls for basic freedoms.

To determine who opened fire on unarmed protestors on May 9 which resulted in 25 fatalities and about 700 injuries among party members and supporters, the conference urged an independent and thorough inquiry.

The conference raised worry regarding police raids on PTI employees’ homes without determining whether they had been involved in any sabotage activities.

A thorough investigation is necessary to hold individuals responsible for public harm accountable, according to Maulana Sherani, who split from the JUI-F and established his branch of the JUI-Pakistan.

In addition to spreading propaganda that incites hatred, the PTI and JUI-P denounced victimizing media organizations and journalists.

The caretaker administrations in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had to be overthrown, and elections were to be held by the constitution, they demanded, and the Supreme Court was to assure this.

Imran Khan’s “abduction” by Rangers from the grounds of the Islamabad High Court was denounced by the JUI-P delegation.
