Imran Khan also responsible for judicial crisis: Rana Sanaullah

Islamabad: PML-N Punjab President and Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah once again criticized PTI Chairman Imran Khan, saying that “Fitna is responsible for the judicial crisis too”.

“The base of this judicial crisis is also the politics of Imran Khan which is based on bad intentions and anarchy,” said the Interior Minister while talking to the reporters in the federal capital on Tuesday.

He said when Imran Khan failed to achieve his targets he dissolved the assemblies, adding that when political instability took place it led the country to economic crisis.

Rana Sanaullah said that the IMF agreement done by the PTI led the country to the verge of collapse.

“Our stance that the full court should hear this matter and it is the demand of all the bars,” said the minister, adding that the elections should be held at the same time.

“Two assemblies’ election and the elections of the rest at the later stage will push the country toward the anarchy and choaso,” he added.

He said that there were also voices from within the court and even then if any such decision [of early elections in Punjab and KPK] comes then there will be nothing but devastation.

The PML-N leader said that Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial was an intelligent person.

“We should avoid from such decision that could push the country towards anarchy,” he added.

“The three-member bench about which the PM and the law minister presented their stance is their stance,” said Rana Sanaullah.  Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar was also present there.

When a question about Bilawal’s remarks about martial law was asked to Rana Sanaullah, Tarar started responding and said that Bilawal was of the view that the benches should comprise the judges from all the provinces and they should not reflect a certain province.

“Institutions work with collective wisdom and not on the whims of an individual. We hope that the Supreme Court will also work with collective wisdom instead of the one-man show,” said Law Minister Tarar.

Rana Sanaullah also questioned that why the three judges were  there in every bench.

“These three judges were also the members of the bench which was accused of re-writing the Constitution,” said the Interior Minister.

He said they that they had categorically said “filing reference against the judges is the right of every citizen. It is not illegal or unlawful. If any situation arises then the PDM will hold deliberations,”.

When asked about the emergency, Rana Sanaullah said that it was already written in the Constitution that when and why the emergency could be imposed.
