Elon Musk Expresses Openness to Donald Trump’s Big Cabinet Role Offer

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has signaled his openness to serving in a potential Trump administration after receiving an offer from US presidential candidate Donald Trump. Musk shared a post on X that said, “I am willing to serve,” alongside an image of himself standing before a podium labeled “Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE),” a humorous nod to the cryptocurrency Dogecoin.

Trump, who is currently leading the Republican race for the presidency, recently mentioned that if he were to win the election, he would consider bringing Musk on board either in a cabinet role or as an advisor. This remark followed Trump’s criticism of the $7,500 tax credit for electric vehicles (EVs), which he suggested he might eliminate if elected.

“Tax credits and incentives aren’t typically beneficial,” Trump remarked after a campaign event in Pennsylvania. When asked specifically about the possibility of offering Musk a position in his administration, Trump responded positively, describing Musk as “a very smart guy” and “brilliant.”

Although Musk endorsed Trump for the presidency last month, he has not yet explicitly confirmed whether he would accept such a role. His recent social media post, however, has sparked discussions about his potential involvement in a future Trump-led administration.
