Congress Leader debunks the authenticity of the Viral Video of Pro-Pakistan Slogans
Congress leader Asif (Raju) Sait has spoken out against a doctored video that went viral on social media, showing a group of young people chanting pro-Pakistan slogans in Karnataka’s Belagavi. Mr. Sait confirmed that the video is fake and has been doctored with miscreants adding voice bites to make it sound like the youth were shouting ‘Pakistan Zindabad’. He has urged people not to believe in such propaganda and not let it tarnish his image.
Mr. Sait, a Congress candidate in Belagavi stated that he won’t blame any political party, leader, or group for the doctored video. He firmly believes in India and responded with “Jai Hind” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”.
It is unfortunate that some people would try to do this, Mr. Sait said, adding that he is deeply hurt. He has assured that as a Congress candidate, all welfare and development programs will be implemented equally across regions, without discrimination. He emphasized that he will not discriminate between people of any area in the city and will implement all welfare and development programs equally in all areas.
The doctored video, which surfaced on social media, has caused an unnecessary stir among citizens. The BJP has alleged that Pakistan Zindabad slogans were raised after the election results were announced, with spokesperson M.B. Zirali demanding a high-level inquiry into the incident and seeking strict action against the alleged offenders.

This is not the first time a doctored video with pro-Pakistan slogans has circulated in Belagavi. In 2018, a similar video was circulated, which BJP leaders like Anil Benake and Sanjay Patil used in their election speeches to defeat Firose Sait, a Congress candidate. However, a committee constituted by the Deputy Commissioner later found out that the video was doctored.
The circulation of doctored videos with false narratives can lead to unnecessary tension and communal disharmony. It is important to verify the authenticity of such videos before jumping to conclusions. Political leaders and citizens must remain vigilant and united against fake news and propaganda.
