After Resolving Census Issues, Aleem Khan Calls for Immediate Elections

Abdul Aleem Khan, the President of Istehkam-e-Pakistan (IPP), has strongly advocated for transparent and unbiased elections in the nation, following the successful resolution of concerns related to the recent census.

In a recent interview conducted on Friday, Aleem Khan expressed his firm commitment to ensuring that the electoral process remains untainted and truly representative of the people’s will. He called for the elections to take place within the next 90 days, underlining the urgency of the matter.

However, the IPP President acknowledged that certain reservations had been raised in connection with the census data. Notably, a number of political parties in Karachi had voiced objections regarding the accuracy and fairness of the census results.

Aleem Khan emphasized the critical need to address and resolve these concerns surrounding the census. He highlighted the significance of maintaining the democratic process without any disruptions, as a vital aspect of upholding the nation’s values and principles.

In response to a question about the political landscape, he remarked that all participating parties have substantial experience in politics. He further pointed out that members of his own party maintain strong connections with the constituents they represent, indicating their dedication to serving the interests of the people.

Reflecting on past electoral challenges, the IPP official recalled the by-elections that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had encountered during its tenure. These experiences, he suggested, provide valuable insights for moving forward and improving the electoral process.

He also drew attention to the fact that politicians are deeply rooted in the constituencies they serve, asserting that individuals who have switched from PTI to other parties have long-standing political careers spanning several decades.

Aleem Khan affirmed that the forthcoming elections would be a referendum on the performances of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N). As the nation looks ahead to this important democratic process, the resolution of census concerns is poised to pave the way for an election that truly represents the will of the people.
