Court rejects Ducky Bhai’s plea for access to YouTube channel
A judicial magistrate in Lahore on Wednesday rejected a plea filed by YouTuber Saadur Rehman, widely known as Ducky Bhai, seeking access to his official YouTube channel and the return of confiscated mobile phones.
Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo announced the order while hearing an application submitted by the content creator, who had requested the recovery of all items seized during a search conducted by authorities.
While declining the request related to YouTube channel access and mobile phones, the court directed that 19 other seized items be returned to the YouTuber. These include bank cards, identity documents, a laptop bag, a GoPro camera and other personal belongings.
Ducky Bhai had approached the court seeking the restoration of his digital assets, arguing that the continued restriction was affecting his professional activities. However, the magistrate ruled that access to the YouTube channel and mobile devices could not be granted at this stage.
The YouTuber was arrested by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) in August over allegations of promoting gambling applications on social media platforms.
He was later granted bail by the Lahore High Court on November 24, though investigations in the case are still ongoing.
