Shehbaz Sharif Reaffirms Pakistan’s Solidarity with Qatar, Condemns Israeli Aggression

Doha, Qatar – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with Qatar and condemned Israel’s continued aggression in the Middle East, calling for urgent unity within the Muslim Ummah.

The remarks came during his meeting with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, on the sidelines of the Emergency Arab–Islamic Summit in Doha.

Condemnation of Israeli Aggression

Shehbaz Sharif strongly denounced the recent Israeli strike on a residential area in Doha, which killed innocent civilians and left many injured. He described the attack as a violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and international law, stressing that such provocations must come to an immediate end.

“The aggression in the Middle East is unacceptable. The Muslim world must unite to respond effectively to Israel’s expansionist designs,” the Prime Minister said.

The premier reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for Qatar during this critical juncture, highlighting the historic and fraternal ties between the two nations. He emphasized that these ties would continue to grow stronger as both countries face regional challenges together.

The Emir of Qatar expressed gratitude for Shehbaz Sharif’s timely visit and participation in the summit on September 12, underscoring Pakistan’s solidarity with Qatar.

Earlier at the summit, Shehbaz Sharif urged the creation of an Arab–Islamic task force to counter Israel’s regional expansion. He also called for Israel to be held accountable for its war crimes against humanity, reiterating the OIC’s demand to suspend Israel’s UN membership.

Both leaders agreed to maintain close diplomatic contact amid the rapidly evolving situation in the Middle East.
