Two Soldiers Martyred in Dera Ismail Khan Convoy Suicide Attack

Two security personnel tragically lost their lives after a suicide bomber detonated himself on a security forces’ convoy in Dera Ismail Khan District.

According to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Friday, the incident occurred on March 21 when a vehicle-borne suicide bomber targeted the convoy. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of Naib Subedar Yasir Shakeel, aged 38, a resident of District Kohat, and Sepoy Tahir Naveed, aged 34, also a resident of District Kohat.

The ISPR emphasized the bravery and sacrifice of the fallen soldiers, stating that such acts further strengthen the resolve in the ongoing fight against terrorism. Furthermore, the military’s media wing vowed to ensure that the perpetrators behind this cowardly attack are brought to justice.

This incident follows a recent operation by security forces in Dera Ismail Khan district, where a terrorist named Muhammad Sohail was neutralized. The ISPR reported that during the operation, intense gunfire ensued between security forces and terrorists, resulting in the elimination of Sohail, who was actively involved in various terrorist activities targeting law enforcement agencies and innocent civilians.

The ISPR’s statement underscores the ongoing efforts by security forces to combat terrorism and maintain peace and stability in the region.
