Veteran Pakistani actor Khalid Butt passed away on Thursday in Lahore after facing health challenges for an extended period. He had been dealing with liver and kidney diseases. Khalid Butt is survived by his widow, two sons, and two daughters.
According to family sources, the actor’s funeral prayer is scheduled to take place after the Asr prayer on Friday.
Butt, who had been a familiar face on TV screens and in numerous films in Pakistan for many decades, had a career that spanned back to the 1970s. Known for his versatility, he showcased his acting skills in both serious and comedic roles in various Urdu and Punjabi language movies and TV shows.
In recognition of his significant contributions to the entertainment industry, the government honored Khalid Butt with the Prize of Performance Award.
Apart from his acting talents, the accomplished artist also delved into directing throughout his career. Khalid Butt’s legacy is celebrated not only for his on-screen presence but also for his behind-the-scenes contributions to the world of entertainment.
