PTI Plans To Make a Shadow Cabinet in Punjab to Monitor Government Performance

The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has decided to create a shadow cabinet in Punjab to keep an eye on the provincial government’s performance in each department.

Senior PTI leader Mian Aslam Iqbal, who has been out of the public eye since the violent protest on May 9, mentioned that the party is forming a shadow cabinet to examine the actions of the government in Punjab, which they believe obtained power unfairly.

In a tweet, Mr. Iqbal stated that instead of focusing on public welfare, the current Punjab government is more interested in carrying out political victimization. He mentioned that PTI will closely monitor the performance of each department through its shadow cabinet.

Mr. Iqbal also criticized the actions of the Punjab police during the protest at the GPO Chowk, stating that while no one witnessed or heard any firing, the police acted harshly. He added that PTI is committed to fighting against such behavior.
