Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has left for a one-day trip to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to express his condolences on the passing of Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, the brother of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
The purpose of the visit is for the Prime Minister to personally extend his sympathies to the President of the UAE on behalf of the entire nation. This gesture is a sign of Pakistan’s friendship and solidarity with the UAE during this difficult time of mourning.
Accompanying the Prime Minister on this trip are Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi. Their presence shows the importance Pakistan places on its relationship with the UAE.
Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb shared the news on Friday through her Twitter account, stating that PM Shehbaz departed for Dubai on a short visit.
