A flight steward working for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has recently gone missing in Toronto, Canada. The steward, identified as Muntazir Mehdi, was part of the crew on flight PK-798, which had flown from Lahore and was staying at a hotel in Toronto during their layover. However, when it was time for the return flight to Pakistan, Muntazir Mehdi was nowhere to be found, raising concerns for his safety and whereabouts. In response to the situation, both the airline and Canadian immigration authorities have been notified.
It’s disheartening to note that this is not the first instance of PIA crew members going missing in Canada. In the past, there have been four similar cases involving flight stewards and air hostesses from the same airline who also mysteriously disappeared while on duty in Canada. Notably, in the previous year, another PIA flight steward named Ramzan Gul also vanished under comparable circumstances upon arriving in Toronto after operating on flight PK-798. Each time such incidents occur, the airline promptly informs the Canadian immigration authorities as per standard procedures for missing crew members.
The sudden disappearance of airline crew members raises questions and concerns within the aviation industry and beyond. Authorities are working tirelessly to investigate the matter and find out what happened to Muntazir Mehdi. The safety and well-being of airline staff are of utmost importance, and such incidents are taken very seriously by both the airline and the authorities.
The families of the missing steward and his colleagues are undoubtedly going through an incredibly difficult time, and they are seeking answers and support from both the airline and relevant authorities. The uncertainty surrounding the situation adds to the emotional distress experienced by the loved ones of those who have disappeared.
The airline industry, including PIA, may need to revisit and reinforce security protocols for its crew members during layovers in foreign countries. Ensuring the safety of staff members while they are away from home is an essential responsibility that airlines must take seriously.

As the investigation unfolds, the airline will be cooperating fully with Canadian authorities to find Muntazir Mehdi and ascertain the circumstances surrounding his disappearance. Updates will likely be provided to the public as more information becomes available.
In the meantime, the entire aviation community hopes for a swift and safe resolution to this distressing situation. The well-being and safety of all airline crew members are of paramount importance, and measures must be taken to prevent such incidents in the future. The thoughts and prayers of many are with Muntazir Mehdi and his loved ones during this challenging time.
