Nawaz Sharif will take country out of current challenges, asserts Maryam Nawaz

Lahore, August 28, 2023 Maryam Nawaz, Chief Organiser of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), confidently stated on Monday that the former prime minister, Nawaz Sharif, is poised to navigate the country out of its current challenges.

Leaders from the PML-N Punjab Women Youth Wing held a meeting with Ms. Nawaz, during which they provided an overview of the youth wing’s accomplishments. Expressing her thoughts, Ms. Nawaz lauded PML-N’s supreme leader, Nawaz Sharif, stating, “During Nawaz Sharif’s previous tenure, he skillfully guided the nation out of difficult situations. Sharif’s leadership will once again offer respite to the public, effectively addressing their concerns amidst the soaring inflation and escalating power bills.”

Ms. Nawaz further lamented, “Had the trajectory of development initiated by Nawaz Sharif been sustained, the public would not be grappling with their present predicaments.”

She empathetically acknowledged the hardships faced by citizens due to the rising inflation and surging electricity costs.

Earlier last week, Ms. Nawaz directed criticism towards the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

In a statement shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), she asserted, “Substantial evidence has laid bare the shortcomings of the PTI chief. Despite numerous opportunities, he persistently evaded accountability through the legal system.”

Ms. Nawaz emphasized, “It is important to distinguish between the charges faced by the PTI chief and the politically motivated case against PML-N’s Nawaz Sharif.”

She added, “In contrast to other wrongdoers, the PTI chief appears to be experiencing preferential treatment.”

Regarding the legal challenges confronted by PML-N’s supreme leader, Nawaz Sharif, Ms. Nawaz expressed dissatisfaction, noting, “Sharif’s convictions were the result of baseless accusations.”

As Pakistan confronts complex economic and political scenarios, Ms. Nawaz’s words underscore the PML-N’s belief in Nawaz Sharif’s capacity to steer the nation toward stability. The party’s focus on development and addressing public concerns has been a recurring theme in their discourse.

As the nation observes these developments, citizens keenly anticipate whether the PML-N’s optimism and Nawaz Sharif’s track record will indeed lead Pakistan out of its current challenges. Only time will tell if this assertion becomes reality or remains a claim in the political arena.
