LAHORE: Another Karachi girl was found in Lahore after she tied the knot with “her free will”. According to a First Information Report (FIR) filed by her family in Karachi, a teenage girl was kidnapped over a month ago by an individual. She has now been found in Lahore, where police claimed she married the suspect of her own.
The Shah Faisal Colony police stated that the girl, who was 12 or 13 years old, disappeared on February 13, and her family filed an FIR under Section 365-B of the PPC.
Abdullah was named as the suspected kidnapper in the FIR. The police conducted raids in Peshawar and Lahore, where they found the girl “married to the suspect.” Korangi SSP Sajid Amir Sadozai claimed that the girl had reportedly married the suspect voluntarily, and her marriage papers were being verified.
This incident echoes a similar case from last year when another teenage girl, Dua Zehra, went missing from her Karachi home and was later found “married” to a boy in Punjab.
