ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Federal Minister Malik Ahmed Khan came down hard upon the top court, saying that the Supreme Court (SC) played the role of superintendent in Panama Papers case.
The PML-N leader also raised questions over composition of benches of the top court for hearing of the cases. He said the top court rewrote the Constitution while taking up the matter related to Article 63-A of the Constitution as interpretation of their own choice was done.
“The injustice is being committed again and again,” said the federal minister while addressing a press conference in Islamabad.
“You erred in interpretation of Article 63-A of the Constitution,” said the minister.
Malik Ahmed Khan said that the incumbent chief justice admitted that he had relations with Mian Saqib Nisar
“We know they [PTI} want to get the elections conducted in Punjab and wanted to create hegemony. This is what you are doing and this is part of the conspiracy,” said Malik Ahmed Khan, adding that Imran Khan had the facilitators for a long time.
“The facilitators wanted to fix Nawaz Sharif under the leadership of Mian Saqib Nisar. There is still reflection of that mindset,” said the PML-N.
He stated that the judges needed to give verdicts under the law and the Constitution and on the basis of the evidence, regretting that the decisions were being given against his party’s leadership despite the lack of evidence.
