Imran Khan decides not to leave courtroom until getting written orders

Imran Khan decides to stay in the courtroom until he receives written orders.

ISLAMABAD: According to the media reports, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has reportedly decided to remain inside the Islamabad High Court (IHC) premises until written orders are issued, and “strict security arrangements are made”. This comes after the completion of a hearing of multiple bail pleas, during which the former prime minister remained inside the court room, consulting with his legal team. The sources claimed that Khan will leave for Lahore’s Zaman Park after receiving the written orders, and that PTI workers and supporters will accompany him from Islamabad to Lahore.

The IHC had earlier barred authorities from arresting Imran Khan in all cases, including undisclosed ones, registered across the country until May 15.

The court also gave protective bail to the former premier in 3 terrorism cases registered against him in Lahore and also stopped the concerned authorities from arresting him till May 17 in any case registered in Islamabad after May 9. Imran was granted protective bail for ten days in a case related to the death of Zille Shah, a PTI worker who was killed during a party rally in Lahore earlier this year, by Justice Jahangiri, against surety bonds worth Rs50,000.

In related news, the IHC granted protective bail to Imran Khan in the Al-Qadir Trust case earlier in the day, a day after the Supreme Court ruled his arrest “unlawful”.
