Shahid Aziz, also known as Gullu Butt, who became famous for causing destruction during violence in Model Town in 2014, has passed away in Lahore, according to his family.
He had been unwell for many months, mostly confined to his bed due to health issues. His family mentioned that he suffered from a brain hemorrhage and diabetes, which also affected his eyesight because of high blood sugar levels.
Reports suggest that he had been ill for about four to five months before his passing. Gullu Butt was known for his involvement in vandalism, disrupting public servants’ duties, and damaging private vehicles with a club outside the Minhajul Quran Secretariat in Model Town on June 17, 2014. This incident happened during a protest led by Dr. Tahirul Qadri, but the police didn’t intervene to stop Gullu Butt’s actions and instead watched silently, allowing him to continue his illegal activities.
