Flipkart issues apology after customer receives stones instead of the Rs 22,000 phone

An e-commerce company, Flipkart, faced trouble when a customer from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, complained about receiving a package filled with stones instead of the smartphone he ordered. This incident has raised concerns about the safety of online shopping and the accuracy of order deliveries.

The customer ordered a smartphone, worth Rs 22,548 from Flipkart but when he received the package and opened it using the “open box delivery” option, he discovered that instead of the phone, the box was filled with stones.

The disappointed customer shared pictures of the package and its contents on social media to express his frustration. His post quickly gained attention, bringing into question Flipkart’s quality control procedures.

Flipkart responded to a post on social media, warning customers not to interact with fake accounts. Some users shared their own experiences of receiving wrong products from Flipkart and facing difficulties in returning them.

This is not the first time such incidents have occurred with Flipkart customers. Earlier this month, another customer received a different gadget instead of the mobile phone they ordered. This situation highlights the importance of being cautious when shopping online.
