Balochistan’s Chief Minister, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, has ordered the termination of 2,000 teachers who were found to be absent from their duties all over Balochistan in a recent meeting.
The meeting was held to discuss issues in the education department. Chief Minister Bugti emphasized the importance of teachers being present in schools.He told the Chief Secretary of Balochistan to quickly fire the absent teachers and provide a detailed report within a month.
Bugti also said that district education officers should be chosen based on merit alone, without any unfair influence.
Talking about the money spent on education, Bugti said that Balochistan allocates 5,625 rupees per child per month for education. He also said that around 72,000 rupees are spent on each child every year, showing the government’s dedication to providing good education for the future.
