A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 on the Richter scale shook Swat and nearby areas in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Saturday, morning.
According to the earthquake monitoring center, the quake’s depth was 207 kilometers, and its epicenter was in the border region of Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan.
People were frightened and came out of their homes, reciting Kalma-e-Tayyaba. Fortunately, there have been no reports of loss of life or damage to property in any part of Swat so far.
