Former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who stepped down as the leader of the government on Monday, received a heartfelt welcome at his house in Lahore when he came back from Islamabad.
Shehbaz handed over his responsibilities to caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar after the latter was sworn in as a temporary head of the government following the conclusion of the National Assembly’s official term.
After leaving his role as prime minister on August 14, Shehbaz returned to his home in Lahore, where his grandchildren eagerly awaited his arrival.
The daughter of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shahbaz, Samawiyaah Hamza, and the son of Salman Shahbaz, Haider Salman, greeted him with a bunch of flowers and warm hugs.

Pakistan is now heading towards the upcoming election phase, scheduled for next year. The election commission will establish new boundaries as a fresh census has been approved by the previous government.
