Sindh Governor announces to provide ‘Roti’ of Rs.2 in Karachi

Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has made an important announcement to assist the people of Karachi who are struggling with high inflation. He has introduced a new initiative where the government will provide subsidised food, specifically roti, at a cost of only Rs2.

Tessori expressed his determination to start the process of providing affordable roti to the people of Karachi who have been burdened by inflation. This noble cause will be pursued as a mission to alleviate the difficulties faced by the citizens.

During a ceremony held on Sunday, the politician revealed plans to establish up to 300 tandoors (traditional clay ovens) across the city of Karachi. These tandoors will sell roti at an incredibly low price of Rs2, ensuring that it remains affordable for everyone.

Additionally, Tessori emphasized that ration bags containing essential food items will be distributed among one hundred thousand deserving families in the port city. This will further contribute to easing the financial strain on these households.

Pakistan, a country with a population of over 250 million, has been grappling with a deteriorating economic crisis. This crisis has resulted in high inflation, a depreciating currency, and has made it challenging for people to afford basic necessities such as food and fuel.

Furthermore, the country suffered from catastrophic floods last year, which affected millions of people and caused billions of dollars in economic damage. The aftermath of these floods further exacerbated the economic hardships faced by the citizens.

In another event, Governor Tessori participated in a ceremony for the entry test of an IT courses program at the Sindh Governor’s House. The program aims to enroll students in courses related to web development, artificial intelligence, and the metaverse.

Hundreds of thousands of individuals have already registered themselves for this IT program. The first phase involved hosting an entry test for 10,000 children at the Governor’s House, marking the beginning of their journey into the world of IT.

Governor Kamran Tessori’s announcement to provide subsidised roti at Rs2 demonstrates a commitment to addressing the challenges faced by the people of Karachi due to inflation. This initiative, along with the distribution of ration bags and the promotion of IT courses, aims to alleviate the economic burden on the citizens and empower them with valuable skills for the future.
