ACE registered a Fraud case against Imran Khan’s sister Uzma Khan and her husband

An ACE spokesperson issued a statement stating that although “the ACE officials conducted raids at their houses in Lahore and Layyah, no arrest had been made so far.”

In a significant development, the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has filed a case against Dr. Uzma Khan, sister of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, and her husband, Ahad Majeed, for allegedly fraudulently acquiring a vast expanse of land in Layyah district at considerably lower rates. The case, which involves serious charges of corruption and misappropriation, has raised eyebrows across the nation.

According to an ACE spokesperson, raids were conducted at the residences of Dr. Uzma Khan and Ahad Majeed in Lahore and Layyah, respectively. However, no arrests have been made thus far, as the investigation is still ongoing. The case revolves around the purchase of approximately 5,261 kanals of land, estimated to be worth a staggering Rs6 billion, at an incredibly low price of Rs130 million. It is alleged that this acquisition was facilitated through political pressure and undisclosed information.

Further investigation by the ACE has revealed that 500 kanals of land were illegally obtained from locals, while fake mutations of 2,000 kanals were executed. The case also implicates Patwari Ghulam Asghar in the fraudulent land acquisition scheme.

The ACE spokesperson stated that the land in question was purchased in the fiscal year 2021-22, and evidence suggests fraudulent practices were employed during the transfer process. Dr. Uzma Khan and Ahad Majeed are accused of orchestrating a fake land transfer, fraudulently placing the acquired property under their names.

The alleged fraudulent acquisition took place during the period when the Asian Development Bank announced the Greater Thal Kanal project, an initiative aimed at irrigating barren lands. Shockingly, it is claimed that Dr. Uzma Khan possessed prior knowledge of this project, which casts suspicions over the timing and motives behind the land purchase.

The case registered by the ACE has sent shockwaves through the political and social landscape of the country. Given Dr. Uzma Khan’s familial ties to the former Prime Minister, the allegations have garnered significant public attention, raising concerns about nepotism and corruption within the political elite.

It is worth noting that no arrests have been made at this stage, as the investigation is still ongoing. The ACE, known for its commitment to combating corruption, has assured the public that a thorough inquiry will be conducted to ascertain the veracity of the allegations.

As this case unfolds, it will undoubtedly test the integrity of the country’s legal system and the ability of the ACE to hold those involved accountable. The nation eagerly awaits the outcome of the investigation, as it will serve as a litmus test for the commitment of authorities to combat corruption and ensure justice prevails.

The outcome of this case will undoubtedly have far-reaching implications, setting a precedent for future corruption investigations and sending a powerful message to all those who may consider engaging in fraudulent activities.
