Ahsan Iqbal Highlights Youth Empowerment and Education Budget as Government’s Key Objectives

Islamabad, June 7 – Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Ahsan Iqbal, emphasized that providing youth with IT education of international standard and allocating a higher budget for the education sector are the government’s top priorities. Speaking to a private news channel on Wednesday, he highlighted that the upcoming fiscal year’s budget would create more employment opportunities in the IT sector for the youth.

Enhancing Livelihood Opportunities through IT Projects:

In the forthcoming budget, the government plans to introduce several IT-related projects aimed at enabling the youth to earn a sustainable livelihood while contributing to the country’s productivity. Minister Iqbal emphasized that the government is utilizing all available resources to bring about improvements in various sectors, including education, with the aim of resolving current challenges.

Fighting Unemployment through Technical Education and Vocational Training:

Minister Ahsan Iqbal assured that the government is committed to eradicating unemployment from the country by providing technical education and vocational training to the youth. Recognizing the importance of skill development, he stated that efforts are underway to ensure equal distribution of resources among the youth, aligning with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision of empowering young people through gainful employment and meaningful engagement.

Introducing Youth-Centric IT-Based Projects:

To address the issue of unemployment in the region, the government is introducing numerous youth-related IT-based projects in the next annual fiscal budget. These projects, designed to provide technical training and foster a start-up environment, will be included in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP). Minister Iqbal revealed that these projects involve significant investments, amounting to billions of rupees, demonstrating the government’s commitment to the youth of the nation.
