104-Year-Old Woman from Iraq Becomes Oldest Hajj Pilgrim of 2024

A 104-year-old woman from Iraq, Kazimiya Hatim, has been recognized as the oldest Hajj pilgrim to visit Saudi Arabia this year. Kazimiya received a warm welcome when she arrived at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah on May 25.

More than 33,000 Iraqi pilgrims are expected to travel to Saudi Arabia for Hajj this year. Iraqi agent Ali Abd Al-Rida Khazim accompanied Kazimiya from Madinah to Makkah on the Al-Haramain train after they visited the Prophet’s Mosque.

Khazim mentioned that Kazimiya was determined to join the Hajj pilgrimage, and her participation brought pride and happiness to the Iraqi Hajj mission and the Iraqi community.

He also noted that she is in good health but is being regularly monitored. Kazimiya expressed her happiness about being in Saudi Arabia for Hajj and appreciated the warm welcome and excellent service she and her companions received.
