How a Creative YouTuber Built a Motorized Speed Demon
Trash cans are not exactly known for their speed and agility. They are typically seen as a stationary object used for holding garbage. However, one YouTuber named Chris Rollins had a different vision for his trash can. He wanted to turn it into the fastest trash can in the world.
Youtuber Rollins started his project by setting out three criteria that he wanted to meet. Firstly, he wanted the trash can to be safe to drive. Secondly, it had to function as a trash can when he was done with it. Lastly, it had to be the fastest trash can on earth. These were ambitious goals, but Rollins was determined to achieve them.
Youtuber Rollins recognized that trash cans were not aerodynamic and that it would be challenging to create a design that would allow the trash can to move fast without making significant changes to its structure. His solution was to install a 12-horsepower Honda engine inside the trash can. Rollins then created a three-wheeled contraption using a bicycle wheel that would allow him to steer and control the trash can. He drew inspiration from the world’s first car, a three-wheeled motor car created in Germany.
The project was not without its challenges, as Rollins explained, “Two-wheel steering is tricky, you’ve got to think about camber, caster, and alignment, there’s a lot to get right, which means there’s a lot that can go wrong.” Nevertheless, Rollins and his team worked diligently for five weeks to turn his trash can into a speed demon.
Rollins and his team took their creation to the Redline Raceway in Caddo Mills, Texas, to officially record its speed. Rollins was the one who drove the trash can, and he had only a narrow slit to peer out of while racing it. On his first attempt, he set a new world record by reaching 62 miles per hour, beating the previous record of 43 mph. The trash can was not only the fastest trash can in the world, but it also met all three of Rollins’ criteria.
Rollins’ project is an excellent example of creativity and determination. He took an object that was typically seen as a stationary object used for holding garbage and turned it into something extraordinary. He didn’t let the limitations of the trash can stop him from achieving his goals. Instead, he found a way to work around them and create something that had never been done before.
Rollins’ project also demonstrates the power of teamwork. He didn’t work alone but instead had a team of people who were equally dedicated to the project’s success. They all worked together to solve the challenges that arose during the project, and their collective efforts led to the trash can’s success.
This project also highlights the importance of setting goals. Rollins knew what he wanted to achieve from the beginning and set out clear criteria for success. This clarity helped him and his team stay focused and motivated throughout the project. By setting ambitious goals, they were able to push themselves to create something that had never been done before.
Rollins’ project also showcases the power of technology. He used a Honda engine and a bicycle wheel to create a trash can that could go faster than most cars. The availability of technology allowed Rollins to create something that would have been impossible just a few decades ago.
Rollins’ project has received a lot of attention on social media, with many people amazed by what he has achieved. The video of the trash can racing down the track has gone viral, with millions of views on YouTube. It has become an internet sensation, with people sharing it on their social media pages and discussing it on forums and chat groups.
The success of Rollins’ project has also inspired others to take on their own creative challenges.
