Viral Video: Egg attack at Aleema Khan in Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, was targeted in Rawalpindi when an egg was hurled at her during a media talk outside Adiala Jail.
The viral video circulating on social media shows Aleema Khan facing the incident shortly after meeting Imran Khan at Adiala Jail. While she was speaking to the media, two unidentified women suddenly threw an egg at her, creating chaos at the scene.
PTI workers immediately rushed to protect Aleema Khan, surrounding her to avoid any further assault. Several workers attempted to retaliate against the suspects; however, police intervened and detained both women involved in the attack.
The detained suspects were shifted to Chowki Adiala for interrogation. As the police vehicle left the location, some PTI workers tried to block its way and allegedly attempted to damage the vehicle.
Following the incident, Aleema khan safely left the area in her vehicle.
