The United States has launched “major combat operations” inside Iran, President Donald Trump announced on Friday, saying the strikes are aimed at destroying Iranian missile capabilities and crippling its naval forces.
In a video message posted on his Truth Social platform, President Trump said the US offensive is focused on eliminating what he described as “imminent threats from the Iranian regime.” He vowed to “destroy their missiles and raze their missile industry to the ground,” framing the operation as essential for long-term global security.
The president acknowledged that American casualties are possible but described the campaign as a “noble mission” designed to protect future generations.
