Earlier in the day, Rishi Sunak visited Delhi’s Akshardham Temple with his wife Akshata Murty and participated in prayers. Dr. Jyotindra Dave, the director of Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple, expressed delight over the UK Prime Minister’s visit. Sunak, on his first official visit to India, spoke proudly of his Indian heritage and connection to the country, referring to himself as a ‘proud Hindu.’

While attending the G20 summit, Rishi Sunak discussed the status of Free Trade Agreement (FTA) talks with PM Modi. He expressed optimism that any remaining issues could be resolved promptly, leading to the signing of a fair, mutually beneficial, and forward-looking FTA.
