Trump says India and Russia lost to China after SCO summit
WASHINGTON: United States President Donald Trump on Friday said that India and Russia appear to have been “lost” to China following the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) meeting in Beijing this week, ARY News reported.
Taking to his social media platform, Trump remarked:
“Looks like we’ve lost India and Russia to deepest, darkest, China. May they have a long and prosperous future together!”

The comments came after Indian Prime Minister and Russian President stood alongside Chinese President Xi Jinping during the SCO summit, where Beijing highlighted its regional leadership role.
Trump’s statement has stirred debate in diplomatic circles, with observers noting growing alignments between Moscow, New Delhi, and Beijing at multilateral forums.
The SCO, which includes major Eurasian powers, continues to be a key platform for regional cooperation on security, energy, and trade.
