An official from the Supreme Court of Pakistan has lodged a First Information Report (FIR) regarding the theft of two computers from the court, as reported on Monday.
The FIR was filed by the Supreme Court’s Director of IT at the Secretariat police station, detailing the theft of the computers. Following the filing, police arrested one suspect linked to the case.
The FIR revealed that two employees of the court, Zahid Iqbal and Faisal Khan, were seen engaging in suspicious activities on CCTV footage. According to sources, Zahid Iqbal had worked as a driver for the secretary to the Chief Justice, while Faisal Khan was employed as a Naib Qasid (office attendant) at the court.
Zahid Iqbal was arrested by police on September 6, shortly after the case was filed. Authorities are now conducting searches to locate and arrest Faisal Khan, who remains at large.
