People were surprised when Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik announced his third marriage to actress Sana Javed on Saturday in a small ceremony.
The 41-year-old cricketer shared the news on his Instagram account, saying, “Alhamdullilah. And We created you in pairs.” Following the announcement, Sana Javed updated her Instagram bio to “Sana Shoaib Malik.”
The newlywed couple posted pictures from their wedding, where they wore matching outfits. Shoaib wore a white sherwani with a golden embroidered shawl, while Sana donned a beige-colored lehnga with green and gold jewelry. Both were seen wearing wedding bands.
Just two days ago, Indian media reported on tennis star Sania Mirza’s Instagram post discussing marriage and divorce. Sania, formerly known as part of the ‘power couple’ with Shoaib, shared a motivational text about life’s challenges and choices.
Shoaib and Sania, who got married in 2010 and have a son named Izhan Mirza-Malik born in 2018, were in the headlines since 2022 due to reports of their separation. Although rumors circulated about Shoaib and Sana being divorced, both remained silent, possibly due to agreements. Neither publicly confirmed their relationship status amid speculations.
Despite fans noticing some distance between Shoaib and Sania, the cricketer denied the rumors multiple times and even posted messages for Sania on social media over a span of four to five months.
