A man was shot dead by a security guard in Karachi’s North Nazimabad area on Thursday, police confirmed.
The incident occurred in Block C of North Nazimabad, where a security guard identified as Wakeel Ahmed allegedly opened fire on a man named Waleed following a heated argument.
According to police officials, the victim had arrived in the area as a guest at a residence located opposite the bungalow where the guard was deployed. An exchange of words reportedly escalated into a violent confrontation, after which the guard allegedly shot Waleed.
Law enforcement personnel reached the scene shortly after the incident and arrested the suspect. The body of the deceased was shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Police officials said an investigation is under way to determine the exact circumstances and motive behind the shooting. Further legal proceedings will follow based on the findings of the inquiry.
