Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and his delegation spent over Rs1.3 billion on foreign trips during the first nine months of the current fiscal year of 2022-23.
The latest reports suggested that Rs840 million would be spent on the various payments, gifts, registrations and fees.
During the nine months of the fiscal year 2022-23, the Prime Minister and his delegation’s foreign trips resulted in expenses of 1 billion 30 million 13 lakh 91 thousand rupees. This amount includes expenses related to accommodations, meals, and other expenditures.
The Prime Minister spent Rs849 on various payments, donations, registrations, and fees during his foreign trips. The remaining over Rs140 million were spent on various other expenses, which were not specified in the text.
According to the reports, two millions rupees were spent on conferences, workshops, and seminars during these foreign trips. Additionally, RS 598,000 were spent on newspapers, journals, and books. Rs20 million was spent on other matters related to foreign countries.
