LAHORE: The Punjab Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted a secret operation and arrested 11 terrorists from different cities including Lahore.
According to the CTD spokesperson, explosives, hand grenades, and other items were recovered from the possession of the terrorists. There are 10 cases against the terrorists in Lahore, Bahawalpur, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, and Sialkot.
The authorities said that the terrorists were planning to carry out attacks in sensitive cities. During the operation, detonators, pamphlets, and other items were also recovered.
As per the spokesperson, during the previous week’s operation, 100 suspects were arrested and 76 FIRs were registered. The state is making every possible effort to eliminate the enemies of the state.
On Thurday, at least six solders of Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom while fighting against a group of terrorists in Derodoni area of North Waziristan.
According to Inter-Service Public Relations, the security forces conducted intelligence based operation in the area and the soldiers embraced martyrdom in exchange of fire with the terrorists.
The ISPR said that three terrorists were killed and two fell injured during the fight. The security forces, according to the statement, surrounded the area where the terrorists were hiding.
