PTI won’t return to power again, says Marriyum Aurangzeb

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Saturday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would not return to power again.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said the PTI destroyed the economy and halted the progress of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which resulted in Pakistan’s isolation on the diplomatic front.

“The party has only given inflation and unemployment to the people,” she alleged, the PTI would not return to power as facilitators of the PTI Chairman had gone.

The statement was made when Chairman Imran Khan gave a protest call across the country to express solidarity. Marriyum Aurangzeb accused the PTI Chairman of violating the constitution and dissolving the assemblies of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She stated that the PTI Chairman hatched a conspiracy of cypher for the sake of power.

In her statement, Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the budget would now be made for the people and not for corrupt elements. She mentioned that the government, which gave cheap flour to the people and rid the country of terrorism and power outages, was preparing the budget. She also claimed that the elections would be held simultaneously across the country on the completion of the constitutional term.

The Information Minister stated that the government would provide employment opportunities to reduce inflation and poverty. Marriyum blamed the PTI for halting the economic progress and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The party is accused of isolating Pakistan on the diplomatic front and only providing inflation and unemployment to the people.

She also accused the PTI Chairman of dissolving the assemblies of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and hatching a conspiracy of cypher for the sake of power. The government would provide employment opportunities to reduce inflation and poverty, she added.
