ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police has formally requested the Ministry of Interior to include the names of PTI leaders who are evading arrest in the Exit Control List (ECL), according to sources. The police have recommended that the names of Raja Khurram Nawaz, Akhlaq Awan, Ali Awan, Malik Hasnain, and Malik Amir Ali be added to the ECL. The police have expressed concerns that these individuals may attempt to flee the country to avoid arrest. They have urged for their names to be placed in the ECL to prevent them from leaving the country. A case has been registered against the suspects at the Khanna police station in Islamabad.

In a related development, PTI leader and former MNA Saima Nadeem was recently barred from traveling abroad. She was about to board a flight to Toronto, Canada, from Jinnah International Airport in Karachi when a Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) official intervened and prevented her from boarding. Consequently, Saima Nadeem was offloaded from the flight and detained at the airport. She was later transferred to the Airport Police Station for further investigation.

These actions highlight the ongoing efforts to apprehend PTI leaders who are evading arrest and prevent them from leaving the country. Placing their names in the ECL is seen as a necessary measure to ensure they remain within the jurisdiction of the law. The cases against these individuals signify the legal consequences they may face for their alleged involvement in criminal activities. The enforcement agencies are actively pursuing these cases to uphold the rule of law and maintain accountability.
