PTI Nominates Omar Ayub Khan as PM Candidate

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder has designated the party’s secretary general, Omar Ayub Khan, as a potential candidate for the prime minister position, announced Asad Qaiser on Thursday.

Qaiser, speaking to reporters after meeting the incarcerated PTI founder outside Adiala Jail, revealed that Omar Ayub Khan is the party’s choice for the PM role.

Additionally, Qaiser stated that he has been assigned by the PTI founder to engage in political discussions with various parties, including JUI-F, ANP, Aftab Sherpao, and others, regarding the formation of the government at the center.

Regarding the recent elections held on February 8, Qaiser criticized them, alleging rigging aimed at undermining the PTI’s mandate. Omar Ayub Khan, an independent candidate supported by PTI, emerged victorious in the election for National Assembly constituency NA-18, Haripur, securing 192,948 votes. The runner-up in the election was Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate, Babar Nawaz Khan, who received 112,389 votes.
