Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-e-Insaf (PTI) said they filed petition in the Election Commission of Pakistan against removal of Punjab Interim Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
“He is a biased and does not look like a CM,” said Fawad Chaudhary while addressing a press conference flanked by Hammad Azhar in Lahore on Saturday.
Fawad Chaudhary asked the ECP to remove Mohsin Naqvi from the office of Punjab interim Chief Minister.
Fawad Chaudhary said the tiny people were holding the high offices, and regretted that the roads were blocked for Mohsin Naqvi in Lahore. He said that the property dealers were now sitting in the power corridors.
Talking about the Supreme Court bill sent by President Alvi back to the parliament, Fawad Chaudhary said that it was the right decision. He said that the coalition government made an attempt to divert the attention from the real issues by passing a resolution against Supreme Court Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial.
The PTI leader said that the judges of the apex court were honorable and the whole nation was standing behind the Chief Justice of Pakistan.
“CJP Bandial is now the most popular justice in the country because he did not bow before the pressure,” said Fawad Chaudhary.
He also said that the dialogue was the only forward to save the country and the PPP also asked the PDM and the coalition partners to hold talks with the PTI.
“If you want to hold talks with us then come and talks on elections,” said Fawad Chaudhary, asking the coalition government and the establishment to sit together and chalk out the roles of the game for elections.
He also warned that if the members of the government did not announce their boycott with the approval of the bill otherwise they would file the reference. Fawad raised a question that why the prime minister, law minister and foreign minister did not sign the resolution presented in the National Assembly.
He added that formation of the benches was the right of the Fawad Chaudhary.
Hammad Azhar said the coalition government failed to provide relief to the masses as the historic inflation turned the lives of the common people miserable. He said the PML-N and especially Maryam Nawaz was lashing out the judiciary which was unfortunate. He said the fake trends of these people would not fill the empty belly of the poor.
Hammad Azhar said the elected government could steer the country out of crises.
