President Asif Ali Zardari Declines Salary Amid Pakistan’s Economic Challenges

The newly elected President Asif Ali Zardari has made a decision not to accept a salary as President of Pakistan due to the economic challenges the country is facing. The President foresaw the economic difficulties when making this decision.

Asif Ali Zardari was sworn in as the 14th President of Pakistan during a ceremony held at the President’s House in Islamabad on Sunday. According to the President House, Asif Ali Zardari has chosen not to burden the national treasury and has opted not to receive a salary.

All arrangements for the swearing-in ceremony of the 14th President were made, and Pakistan People’s Party Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari took the oath of presidency for the second time.

Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa administered the oath to the newly elected president. Various important figures, including political and military leaders, as well as foreign ambassadors, attended the ceremony. A guard of honor was presented to the new President on the day following the swearing-in ceremony.
